David and Samantha Cameron are currently in the US on a three-day visit, so of course they caught up with the Obamas.

It’s always a magic moment for me when Samantha Cameron and Michelle Obama meet as they lace wedding dresses to impress without trying to upstage each other.

Earlier today at the official welcoming ceremony at the White House in Washington, DC, both ladies wore looks from their respective countries.

Samantha wore a Roksanda Ilincic tri-colour half-sleeve dress with an Emilia Wickstead navy belt and LK Bennett blue suede pumps.

Michelle complemented the PM’s wife by wearing a Zac Posen light-blue dress with a matching jacket for the occasion.

I love her silver pumps, they remind me of a pair I have been eyeing up in Zara.

I prefer how the shoulder line hung on the model. On Audrey it goes straight across and the asymetric dip is a bit higher. It looks broad and less feminine.

The New York premiere of ‘Delicacy’ closed the 17th Annual Rendez-Vous With French Cinema last night with Audrey Tautou in attendance.

The face of Chanel No. 5 looked every bit the French movie star wearing a Chanel Spring 2012 lace wedding dress.

Her white knit dress was accessorized with black pumps and Chanel pearls wrapped around her wrist.

I think this LWD is just perfect lace wedding dresses from the full sleeves to the flared skirt, but I only love the look from the ankle up.

Voluminous curls and a bright red lippie complete the look.

The black pumps are an eyesore but the dress itself is not a good choice for the petite Audrey to begin with, the bold shoulders completely dominate her, she is not wearing this dress well at all, and while the playful curls and red lippie add a fun flirty element to the look, the ´old lady´ pearls do not work here for me. I wish this lace wedding dress was about five inches shorter. The length is quite awkward on Jordana.

It’s never a good idea for the wife of a head of state to have her style compared to Lady Gaga. If the skirt had been shorter and just one color it might have been better, but Lady Gaga is an apt comparison cause when I see this look I think garish cartoon character.

The Prime Minister’s wife held a fashionable soiree at 10 Downing Street in London on Tuesday with Caroline Rush (Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council), designers Mary Katrantzou, Roksanda Ilincic, Sir Paul Smith, Natalie Massanet of Net-a-Porter, Anya Hindmarch, and Danielle Crook of Vodafone on the guest list.

Our equivalent to the First Lady, and ambassador for the British Fashion Council, stood out wearing a vibrant colour-block Roksanda Illincic lace wedding dresses ensemble which incorporated the pink and aqua blue we saw during the designer’s Spring 2012 collection, as worn by Lady Gaga.
